One of the only things I don’t like about my job designing robots is that I don’t get to tell people what I’m working on.  Every once in a while though, we make some info public and then I get to show everyone the crazy robots we make by showing them the photos I took of them.  
The above robot is named PETMAN, as in Protective Ensemble Mannequin.  He’s going to live in a chem bio chamber full of nasty “live agent” and test protective clothing against leaks.  In the photo, he’s missing a bunch of components such as his head, hand, and skin.  You’ll be sure to see some over-hyped news stories about this robot, and our new Cheeta robot, which contrary to news headlines, does NOT chase down humans as prey.
